Jessie Govan is back with his third blog entry for GiveNGoBasketball.com. He talks about his upcoming AAU season, Louisville, and more.
What's up everyone, I'm back for another blog entry here on givengobasketball.com . AAU season is about to start and I am very excited. I will be playing 17U on the New York Lightning. I am excited to travel with them and play on the EYBL circuit. We are building chemistry as a team and we should be very good this season.
My school season didn't end the way I wanted it to, losing in the semifinals, but I had a blast playing with my teammates and I couldn't ask for a better group to play with. All we have to do is keep working and hopefully next year we will be champions.
The NCAA tournament was very fun to watch. Two of the teams I picked for the Final Four were there (Louisville and Michigan). There were huge upsets this year, most notably Florida Gulf Coast! They came out of no where and shocked the world. Another team that had a good tournament run was Wichita State. They were in the Final Four but I picked them losing to Louisville and Louisville winning it all. I think the Kevin Ware injury motivated them even more to win the title. I hope he has a healthy recovery and all goes well. Seeing an injury like that is tough.
Thanks for reading my blog entry here on givengobasketball.com and stay tuned for another one!
