Jessie's Journal: Looking Forward to Another Season

Jessie Govan is back with his fifth blog entry for GiveNGoBasketball.com. He talks about AAU season, recruitment, and more.
Hey guys I know it's been a while but I'm back for another blog entry!
AAU season is over, I had a good one, I think I've gotten much stronger playing up against the great players in the EYBL. We didn't do as well as we would've liked at Peach Jam, but it was a great experience down there playing in such a great atmosphere. Hopefully next year we can make it back there again and even make a run at winning it.
As far as recruiting goes, Fordham offered me after seeing me play and other schools such as Minnesota, Michigan State, and Louisville have called me and shown their interest in me. Those are all great schools and it's really cool to know that those schools want you. I still don't have any favorites, everyone is equal and I continuing to take my recruitment slowly. I don't want to rush into a commitment and not know what I'm getting into.
School's about to start back up, and my school is going to be really good this year. We've added some pieces around our core already and we're ready to win a championship. Not only in our league, but my goal is a state championship. It's my 3rd year on the Varsity level and I still don't have one, anything less than a state championship to me is a failed season.
Well guys, thanks for reading my blog on givengobasketball.com. Be sure to stay tuned for more!
